Reasons to go Solar

 Irresistible Reasons to go Solar

Solar energy is the energy provided by the sun, which is harnessed through a technique called photovoltaic cells, which turns sunlight directly into electricity. For an ordinary person's description of the "photovoltaic effect", when the sun hits the photovoltaic cell, photons of light evoke the electrons in the cell, leading to their flow and electricity generation. Homeowners around the world are installing solar panels on their roofs to take advantage of this clean and renewable energy generation method. So why should you go solar? How does it benefit you? Here are 10 key drivers for homeowners and business owners - and even some tenants - for making the switch from conventional electricity to solar energy.

1. It's good for the environment.

Unlike traditional energy, solar energy does not produce harmful emissions that harm the environment. It is a clean and renewable process that uses most of the natural resources: the sun.Even the energy used to produce photovoltaic cells is repaid shortly afterwards. Depending on the type, it is estimated that the time of payment for energy (EPBT) for photovoltaic systems and standard cost systems is between 0.5 and 1.4 years. After that, everything is fresh all the time.In the United States, fossil fuels are used to generate 68% of the electricity we consume, and emissions from burning those types of fuel are not good, including:
Carbon dioxide(CO2)
Carbon monoxide(CO)
Sulphur Dioxide(SO2)
Nitrogen Dioxide(NO2)
Mercury and other heavy material

2. It is a strong home investment.

It is fair to say that many of the home improvements that will make it will not add equal value to your home just like the money you put in it. Solar energy, on the other hand, will save you money from your energy bill every month. In addition, the investment you make in solar energy will add the value of your property - or more - to your home, if you decide to sell it later.A study by the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in California showed buyers were willing to pay an extra $ 15,000 for the home using a medium-sized solar panel system. Not only is this likely to be more than your original investment, it is also a return on investment plus the money you saved on energy throughout your home.
In a challenging market, solar panels can be the difference in selling your home or not, an additional bonus that gives potential buyers a reason to think of your home as a home for the long term

3. Solar system are durable.

Solar panels do not contain moving parts, and therefore do not damage easily. This reduce the chance of an interruption in service. All solar panels are tested thoroughly to ensure
they can withstand high winds and harsh weather, such as cold snow and snow. Each solar panel used by skilled users such as 1st light is guaranteed to be stronger than the ceiling itself

4. Solar can Actually make you Money

Some countries require the Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) from electricity suppliers to secure part of the electricity from solar power generators. Instead of investing in their own systems, in established cases this led to the so-called SREC market. Renewable Solar Energy Certificates (SREC) are generated for each megawatt hour of solar power generated. So if your system generates more energy than you consume, you have the opportunity to sell that energy again at a premium. Each state program differs, with the SREC value determined by the market and subject to supply and demand constraints. The SREC market in New Jersey is the largest in the country, with recent market prices among the highest ever

5. Solar energy can help you to afford the home improvement you want.

The installation of the solar home system provides an opportunity to design other home improvements with this in mind. For example, some people consider a swimming pool or a hot tub with renewable energy.
In addition, remember the money you'll have on your electric bills, all of which adds enough to make any home improvements you want. There are not many home improvements that cost less than the solar panel system or are subject to tax rebates from the government, and none provide monthly costs, rather than cost more. Home improvement can be more attractive to your money than a renewable energy system.

6. The solar energy has a fixed cost.

Electricity from utility providers never guarantees a fixed price, rising and falling without apparent cause or effect. Without any other choice, consumers have no choice but to pay the current price.
On the other hand, the cost of the solar system remains the same. If you choose to rent or finance your system, you will have a minimum monthly payment package that replaces your electricity bill

7. Be ahead of the curve.

Signs everywhere. Even in the face of agendas of fossil fuel companies and dirty energy generators, the future of energy is renewable energy and clean energy. For the first time in 2016, renewable energy will be most of the year's additions to the grid. Solar, natural gas and wind combined account for 93% of the total 26 GW of public utility power to be added this year. The United States rose to fourth place in terms of solar PV use. Behind China, Germany and Japan in the cumulative solar capacity. As with any big change, everyone helps and every step!

8. You can use your solar energy throughout the day.

One of the many myths about solar energy involves imposing predictable limits on energy-generating energy in solar panels. Solar energy is created by daylight, not sunlight. So even on rainy days overcast, your panels will produce energy. All that energy accumulates in the morning and hour, all the time the sun shines and produces more energy than you can use.
Currently, all solar providers keep power is then pushed back into the network, effectively turning the utility counter back, which adds credit to your account. After that,in the evening, the reduced power will be used from the meter. This extra power does not expire and is similar to the extension minutes with the phone company

9. In both cases, you can not keep money

Whether you spend money to invest in solar energy,or give that money to your service provider money is still spent.Making a decision to go to solar power is,similar to the decision to go to solar power is very similar to the decision to buy a home. You can invest in yourself and control your energy costs,or continue to pay your utility provider for monthly rental power since they are recurring payments and remain subject to their fees and requirements

10. Solar energy is cool

Let's face it,what is cooler than the sun that feeds your home?
This is absolutely true literally.A study conducted by the university of San Diego's Engineering college in Jacobs found tat PV panels act as"roof shades"to keep buildings cool and provide clean energy. This sounds logical. The solar panel sweeps the sun, steers it away from the ceiling, while the roof without panels allow heat to permeate the building. When calculating the amount saved on cooling the building, the research team found it was worth getting a five percent discount on the price of solar panel from the lifetime of the system. But the"cold factor"is constantly present with solar energy as well

Best Way to Create Energy Is Not Using It

Best Way to Create Energy Is Not Using It

The Biggest crises that world is going face soon is inadequate Energy problem due exponential increase in demand but only limited amount of resources available. As a result of lack of energy their would be no clean water to drink, Lack of food etc. because everything is directly or indirectly depended on the energy.

world energy consumption

So the need of energy of the exponentially growing population cannot be full filled by only becoming energy efficient only. Hence the “Best Way to Create Energy Is Not Using It” i.e., to eliminate the demand of energy from gird. This elimination of grid can be done by Net Zero Building. The term of Net Zero Energy building is defined as the building with zero net energy consumption i.e., the total amount of energy used by the building on annual basis is roughly equal to the total amount of renewable energy created on the site (Energy Used per year = Energy Produced per year).

energy consumption
Energy Consumption by the different sources

With comparison from the different sources the energy consumption by the buildings are most. Hence by switching to the net zero building that consumption can be brought down to nearly zero. As the building are capable of making their on energy from different kind of renewable energies in which the solar energy is the most commonly. The principle of  net energy consumption is seen as a means of reducing carbon emissions and reducing reliance on fossil fuels. Although zero-energy buildings are still not common in developed countries, they are gaining importance and popularity.
While designing the net zero building the reverse engineering is done first the amount of energy required by building on daily basis’s is calculated then the design is made so that it can get the produce the amount of energy required.

Model of a Net Zero Building

The cost of developing a net zero building might be high but has various long term benefits such as

reduced total net monthly cost of living
  • contribute to the greater benefits of the society, e.g. providing sustainable renewable energy to the grid, reducing the need of grid expansion

So the conclusion can be made the Net Zero Buildings (NZB) are the need of future.
